From 15th - 17th January CUE2018 will take place in Rotterdam Ahoy. This biennial fair for event, installation and entertainment technology provides a complete overview of technical facilities. At this meeting place for technicians in the event industry and performing arts, we are of course glad to see you at booth 207!
This year we have realized 6 flywall installations. Four of these involved conversion of control to SIL3: Diligentia in The Hague, Parkstad Limburg (Theater Kerkrade), The Rabotheater in Hengelo and De Lampegiet in Veenendaal.
The Beatrix Theater in Utrecht is being transformed with completely new winches. This takes into account a double capacity of 1000 kg which can be achieved by a counterweight or double scoring depending on the location of the winch. In Madrid, at the Teatro Coliseum, we have also installed winches and a new control system for Bodyguard.
Showautomation this year for On Your Feet in the Beatrix, Bodyguard, Bat Out of Hell, Miss Saigon Tour and Hamilton.
However, the year started with the completion of the Stage Around project with Robin de Levita in Tokyo where a new concept of the revolving stands saw the light.
This year was also the year of the official 15th anniversary of STS, resulting in a flying adventure with the whole STS team and the Consolidated Catalina PH-PBY.
From the moment, the location became available on Saturday, we had the STS and BVZ team in full force to move to the new alternative facility. The spontaneous assistance offered by many colleagues and acquaintances was heart-warming but also illustrative of STS and Bosman Van Zaal’s commitment to our customers and organization.
As explained, our service department is and remains fully operational. As from Monday morning 8th May, the office is operational and all our staff is available through the known (mobile) phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
On Wednesday May 10th, we have resumed production! The recent events do of course affect our projects. Our relations with projects which already are started will be approached by their regular contact persons.
Our shirt sleeves – also of our colleagues – have been rolled up and remain rolled up. In the coming period, we are ready to go with even more energy. Please adjust our new address in your business administration: Bedrijvenweg 24, 1424 PX De Kwakel, The Netherlands.
We are receiving a lot of support from customers and suppliers for which we are of course thankful and which strengthens us.
Thanks to cooperation of many, we have found today already a temporary alternative location on Bedrijvenweg 24. As we speak all sytems are being transfered.
It may occure that our phone accessibility is less than usual. As you understand we put much effort to handle this, so the organizations STS and Bosman Van Zaal will resume regular operation as soon as possible!
Friday evening at half past 10 a fire has started in one of the offices of Bosman Van Zaal. It concerns location Bedrijvenweg 10 in De Kwakel where STS is located as well. Due to the rapid and resolute acting of the fire department, the damage has been limited to part of the production halls and inventory. As the fire broke out while the company was closed, there was no personal injury. The offices and IT systems have been preserved, so all data regarding our projects and systems is secure.
We thank the fire department, the police and the municipality for adequate action. At this moment, we put all effort to assess the damage and resume normal operation as soon as possible.
For general questions and press, please contact Robert Pronk at +31 6 51835580 of firstname.lastname@example.org Regarding practical matters we ask our relations to contact their regular contactperson at STS or Bosman Van Zaal.
The damage caused by the fire that started Friday night in the premises of STS and Bosman Van Zaal at the Bedrijfsweg in De Kwakel, is limited thanks to the good performance of the fire department. We will put all our effort in to resume work activities as soon as possible and keep you posted.
